Job description

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to support the design and implementation of space-based systems to deliver resilient, affordable, and sustainable space capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize space programs. You'll develop your skills in developing and acquiring space systems while gaining experience with delivering sustained, reliable, space capabilities to America's warfighters, our allies, and civil users. Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with space vehicle systems engineering, planning, integration, and testing
  • 6+ years of experience with systems engineering, planning, development, integration, and testing of at least two of the following space vehicle subsystems and its components, including structures, mechanisms, electrical power, attitude control, thermal, propulsion, communications, or command
  • 3+ years of experience with space system and DoD program reviews, including SRR, SDR and SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, or PCA
  • Digital Engineering specialty
  • Experience with collaboration tools, including Confluence or JIRA
  • Experience with the development of technical specifications, interface control documents, integrationplans and schedules, inter-service support agreements, system behavior diagrams, sequence diagrams,and network diagrams
  • Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of designreviews and requirements verification
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, andcollaborate with government and other stakeholders to implement recommended solutions
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Nice If You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for satellite systems
  • Experience with GPS, Remote sensing, and Sat com space-based payloads, satellite busses, and satellite subsystems, including propulsion, thermal control, power, attitude control, TT&C, communications, data processing, and structures
  • Experience with MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Possession of strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or IT
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification
