Job description
- Act as the strongest React contributor on the team, setting best practices and architectural patterns
- Work with REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate backend data into frontend applications
- Collaborate with backend-aware workflows involving AWS-based infrastructure
- Contribute to UI development using Tailwind CSS and component documentation with Storybook
- Work within projects that include Astro for modern frontend builds
- Ensure testing awareness during development (in collaboration with a dedicated QA engineer)
- Collaborate closely with internal engineers and third-party agencies
- Occasionally participate in technical discussions with stakeholders
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features and deliverables
Requirements
- Strong, proven experience with React in production environments
- Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Deep understanding of React concepts, patterns, and performance considerations
- Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Backend awareness including AWS services and API-driven architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions
- Ability to ramp up quickly in existing systems and codebases
- Self-driven, autonomous working style with a strong sense of ownership
Nice to Have:
- Experience or familiarity with Drupal (headless or API-driven)
- Experience working with SEO-friendly frontend features (Open Graph)
- Exposure to Astro
- Exposure to A11y
- Awareness of Tailwind CSS
- Awareness of Storybook
Collaboration & Working Style:
- Works primarily with engineering teams and third-party agencies
- Occasional interaction with stakeholders
- High degree of autonomy and ownership mindset

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
