Job description

Performs difficult skilled technical work related to planning, organizing, and coordinating the development and maintenance of the City's Geographic Information System (GIS) system(s), and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager (supervisor).

Requirements

Associates/Technical degree with coursework in computer science, engineering, geography, GIS, or related field.

Three (3) years of experience providing technical engineering support.

Minimum one (1) year in the design, development, programming, implementation, and maintenance of GIS programs or and applications.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver's license, Experience working with GIS data and workflows for electric utility systems, with additional familiarity in fiber and other utility networks.

Hands-on experience with electric utility GIS and asset management platforms such as Futura, Esri ArcGIS Utility Network, Schneider Electric ArcFM, or similar systems commonly used in the utility industry.

Experience integrating GIS with enterprise systems using webhooks, API integrations, ArcGIS REST services, or Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).
