Job description

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Analyst to join our EDAP Team. In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between business users and the data management function - working directly with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs, translate those needs into analytical solutions, and deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful information that supports decision-making. You are equally comfortable in a business conversation as you are writing a complex SQL query. You ask the right questions, dig into the data, and come back with answers that make sense to the people asking them., Engage directly with business users across departments to gather, clarify, and document data and reporting requirements Translate business questions and needs into analytical queries, reports, and data extracts that deliver clear, actionable information Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data pulls in support of business operations and strategic initiatives Profile and analyze source data to validate accuracy, identify gaps, and ensure outputs meet business expectations before delivery Act as a trusted point of contact for business stakeholders - managing requests, setting expectations, and communicating findings in plain language Partner with the EDAP Core Team to align business data needs with enterprise data standards, definitions, and governance practices Document business requirements, data definitions, and analytical logic to support transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing Identify patterns in recurring business requests and proactively develop self-service solutions, standardized templates, or automated workflows to reduce turnaround time Collaborate with data platform engineers and modelers to surface data quality issues, missing data elements, or structural gaps uncovered through business engagement Contribute to the development of a shared business glossary and data catalog by capturing domain knowledge gathered through stakeholder interactions Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver work iteratively in alignment with team and business priorities

Requirements

7+ years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role with a strong emphasis on stakeholder-facing work Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries, data extracts, and analytical scripts against large relational or cloud-based datasets Demonstrated experience gathering and translating business requirements into data solutions - including requirements documentation, data mapping, and delivery Strong proficiency in BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to build rapport with business users, ask probing questions, and explain data findings without technical jargon Proven ability to manage a queue of business requests, prioritize competing demands, and deliver independently in a contractor or consulting capacity High attention to detail with a strong instinct for data validation and quality assurance before presenting results, Familiarity with data governance concepts including data stewardship, business glossaries, data lineage, and metadata management Experience with data governance or cataloging platforms such as Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview Exposure to master data management processes and data quality frameworks Proficiency in Python or R for data wrangling, automation, or analytical scripting Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, retail, or government Background supporting a centralized data team, center of excellence (COE), or enterprise data management function is a strong plus Ready to make an impact?
