Job description
Spelman College is seeking a Windows System Administrator I to support and maintain its enterprise infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for administering Windows Server systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, application deployment tools, and VMware technologies while ensuring the reliability and performance of critical IT systems. This position will assist with system administration, user account management, device deployment, infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and end-user support. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Windows environments, working collaboratively within a team, and contributing to a stable and secure technology environment., Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): We may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support parts of our hiring process, including sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates. Operations Leadership Communication Microsoft 365 Windows Servers Microsoft Azure Problem Solving Computer Science Active Directory Higher Education Disaster Recovery Account Management Windows PowerShell Business Valuation System Administration Information Technology Full Stack Development, Windows System Administration Microsoft Certified Professional Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Active directory, Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, windows server administration, vmware, Application Deployment tools, Powershell, Azure, MacOS Administration, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Higher Ed Experience, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. -Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. -Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring tools preferred. -Prior higher education experience is a plus. -Relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.
