This role serves as a key member of the Data Security team within Global Security, driving and governing Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) "at-rest" controls. The role is responsible for strengthening visibility into sensitive data, reducing data exposure risk, improving monitoring and protection capabilities, and helping scale the program through modern automation and AI-enabled workflows. This role must have a strong understanding of DSPM, data discovery and classification, and DLP technologies and processes, along with the ability to leverage AI tools such as Copilot to drive the next level of efficiency and data exfiltration risk reductions in the emerging insider risk & AI threat landscape.
- Lead DSPM capabilities across endpoint, cloud, SaaS and collaboration environments to improve visibility into structured & unstructured sensitive data, exposure, access, and risk
- Partner with architecture, engineering, application and operational teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate data discovery, classification and security risks across MetLife's global environments
- Develop requirements, workflows, and operating procedures for DSPM and DLP capabilities, including monitoring, triage, and response processes
- Evaluate and recommend controls related to encryption, network security, AI-enabled data protection, and exfiltration risk reduction

Requirements

1-3 years' experience with enterprise Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), data discovery and classification

Communicate complex data security (DSPM/DLP) concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Accomplished change management leader, able to operate effectively in a highly matrix environment

Experience using AI tools such as Copilot to improve operational efficiency, accelerate analysis, and enhance protection against AI-related data exfiltration risks

Global regulatory experience

Industry recognized information security certification are preferred (CISSP)

Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) or cloud data security experience

Strong ability to communicate verbally and written to stakeholders with various levels of expertise

Strong record of success in supporting large scale global data security programs, transformation and operational maturity initiatives.
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

- Life insurance, The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
