Job description
The Senior DevOps Engineer is a key technical owner at Neros, responsible for the infrastructure, CI/CD, and secure-environment compliance that all of Neros' software ships onto. You'll leverage deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and back-end systems to design and operate robust, reliable, and auditable platforms. You'll make key architectural decisions, own delivery, and hold the bar for performance, security, and reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience
- Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration)
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services (deployment, networking, resource management, scaling)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Bicep)
- Hands-on administration and operation of CI/CD pipelines and runners in secure environments (e.g., GitLab CI)
- Deep Linux system administration experience (hardening, troubleshooting, performance tuning, configuration management)
- Experience designing and maintaining cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure architectures (dev/staging/prod) with repeatability and reliability
- Familiarity with network architecture concepts (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, load balancing, segmentation)
- Experience with secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and PKI
- Ability to design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability pipelines for infra + application health
Nice to Have
- Security & compliance experience (FIPS 140-2/140-3; implementing controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171 / 800-172 / 800-53)
- Familiarity administering IAM solutions (Okta; Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD) for SSO/MFA and identity governance
- Zero-trust security architecture; STIG hardening / RMF processes
- Embedded Linux, and embedded system interfacing; C/C++ familiarity
- Strong scripting for automation (Bash; Python)
