Job description

GDIT is seeking a Program Manager to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for our customer with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health. Responsibilities:Manages the overall execution of NHLBI IT support services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectiveSupervises and mentor teams of IT professionals, project managers, engineers and architects to foster technical excellence and operational readiness.Oversees the operations of the Service Desk, Configuration Management, and Infrastructure OperationsManaging and operating an IT infrastructure (on prem and multi cloud infrastructure) for a premier biomedical research organization serving both the intramural and extramural research communitiesImplements project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe) to ensure efficient project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout.Maintains and regularly updates a searchable

Requirements

library of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all tasksEnsures timely delivery and high standards of quality for all deliverablesRecommends process improvementsFacilitates regular communication and reporting on program status, risks, and issues to ITAC, OM, and NHLBI leadership. Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.At least five years of experience managing a comprehensive IT services contract for a Federal organization of at least 2000 users, including Service Desk, Infrastructure Operations, Configuration Management, and Cybersecurity.Proven ability to drive service improvements5+ years experience applying ITIL, PMP, and Agile frameworks.Will have track record of effective leadership and communication with Federal stakeholders.Experience managing federal contractsExperience working in a biomedical research, or healthcare setting.
