This position will be part of MNIT's Human and Social Digital Services (HSDS) team, which supports agency teams at these state agencies: Department of Human Services (DHS), MNsure, the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), and Direct Care and Treatment (DCT). The MNIT HSDS team combines development and IT operations with a DevOps approach to ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of critical technology systems that serve counties, families, and individuals across Minnesota.

In this SSIS Infrastructure Lead position you will lead and administer critical application management information systems used by all divisions of MNIT. You will also provide technical expertise in the design, development and configuration of database applications that leverage the various systems and applications throughout the Microsoft Application Development Division. The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day support and division of labor efforts of applications used across the environment as well as provide technical leadership on projects, and enhancements to ensure stable continued operations in a compliant manner and to deliver feature and capacity enhancements through projects as required.

This position is telework eligible for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of IT related experience in network support and database infrastructure support., * Proven capability to troubleshoot and maintain technical systems involving networking protocols, server operations, and application support.

  • Supporting Microsoft server and desktop operating systems, including IIS and CA installations, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Hands-on experience with networking and communication protocols, such as TCP/IP (IPv4/IPv6), Ethernet/IEEE 802.3, and LAN/WAN routing.
  • Administering directory services, such as Active Directory or another LDAP-based solution.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
  • Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.

Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master's degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor's degree for one (1) year; and an associate's degree for six (6) months., * Experience in at least one specialized technical area, such as server management tools (DNS, DHCP, SNMP), Oracle or other relational databases, PL/SQL, security controls, or backup and restoration systems.

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, including experience managing complex technical issues and contributing to system design improvements.
  • Administering directory services, such as Active Directoryor another LDAP-based solution.
