Job description

  • Design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise firewall infrastructure.
  • Manage Check Point and Fortinet firewall environments.
  • Integrate and support defense-in-depth security technologies including:
  • Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDS/IPS)
  • Network Access Control (NAC)
  • Content Filtering
  • Endpoint/Antivirus Security
  • Perform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Support secure network and application architectures across multiple enterprise platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in network and cybersecurity engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Check Point and Fortinet firewalls.
  • Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) certification required.
  • Experience with enterprise security technologies including IDS/IPS, NAC, VPNs, and content filtering.
  • Strong understanding of secure network architecture and risk management.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting DoD or other federal agencies.
  • Knowledge of NIST, RMF, STIGs, and federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
