Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Lead Systems Engineers (Level 4) to join our team in Berkeley, MO.
F-15 Mission Systems is responsible for the design, development, and testing of avionics and mission software on the F-15. These systems include new avionics such as weapons, sensors, navigation, radios, displays, and mission processing.
As a F-15 Mission Systems Solution Management Engineer you will provide solution level leadership to teams representing multiple skill areas, working with program management, leadership, customers, subject matter experts, and engineering teams, throughout the entire development, fielding and operational lifecycle of the F-15.
Position Responsibilities
- Primary Mission Systems interface to assigned F-15 Program
- Collaborate across all Mission Systems functions to ensure program commitments are met
- Coordinate with Solution Managers and Business Owners to balance Agile Release Train capacity allocation across all F-15 Domestic and International programs
- Brief Mission Systems execution status to Business Owners including senior engineering management and program management
- Consume performance metrics to manage project execution
- Facilitate engineering proposal efforts across all Mission Systems teams
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, * 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's or 7+ years of work-related experience with Masters or 4+ years with a PhD
- 5+ years of experience in Mission Systems
- 3+ years of experience in an Agile Lead Role
- 1+ years of experience with Proposal Estimation
- 1+ years of experience with Earned Value Management
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Clearquest, Git, DOORS
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience briefing senior leadership or customers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
