Job description
The IT Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's computer systems, networks, and software applications. This role involves providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing security measures, and ensuring the overall functionality and efficiency of the IT infrastructure. You will be providing coverage as part of our Global IT team and can expect to regularly interact with and support employees located outside of the United States (e.g.: in Canada, Germany, Poland and India). This may require flexibility in working hours to ensure we have sufficient coverage., * Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Create application administration workflows, keeping user permissions up-to-date.
- Develop and test scripts, programs, code, and configuration to optimize routine operations and tasks, including an understanding of API connectors and API code.
- Implement and maintain security measures.
- Organize and support full-cycle inventorying.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies and after-hours support.
- Limited/light travel to other locations as deemed necessary by the business.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years working in an IT/service desk role.
- Excellent ticket system skills and a strong ability to prioritize tasks according to business needs.
- Knowledge of scripting languages: Bash, Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with some if not all of the following programs: Okta, GSuite, Zoom, Atlassian Confluence/Jira, MacOS/Iru(Kandji), Windows, Linux, and JumpCloud.
- Previous experience auditing and evaluating an organization's IT infrastructure, applications, data use, and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technically literate and capable of simplifying concepts for non-technical users.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and a high interest in investigating solutions.
- Must be capable of working in a collaborative, global team environment.
- Strong belief in "customer" satisfaction.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI/LLM tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.) to support day-to-day tasks, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI/LLM tools into daily workflows to increase efficiency and quality of output.
We are a hybrid workplace that recognizes the importance of flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration and relationship building. As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.
