Job description

The IT Infrastructure Engineer ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the enterprise information systems and network infrastructure that support core organizational functions. This is achieved through planning, architecting, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing networked systems and networking platforms across the environment. The IT Infrastructure Engineer applies advanced communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve complex issues, maximizing the value of IT infrastructure investments. The role supports a best-in-class IT Infrastructure operation in service of Oklahoma Heart Hospital's (OHH) business and clinical objectives, security, regulatory, and other requirements set forth by OHH Leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience: Four (4) + years of experience in information technology enterprise systems and/or network administration/engineering, with demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale projects. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, additional directly related systems or network engineering experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis, provided the candidate holds a High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
  • Licensure/Certification: Applicable technical certification preferred, but not required.
  • Working Knowledge: Ability to answer and demonstrate hands-on, advanced experience, and understanding of one or more of the following technologies and platforms; Citrix, Nutanix, VMware, Dell Enterprise Compute & Storage, Cisco UCS, Commvault, F5, Microsoft Domain Services & Solutions, Microsoft M365, and Cisco Wired and Wireless Networking along with a broad working knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure across the technology continuum. This is a consolidated role, and incumbents may specialize in Systems platforms, Networking platforms, or both.
  • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Proficiency with computer software and keyboard use, and the ability to operate standard office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machines, and phone systems. Must be able to bend, lift, and reach for office supplies and files.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor. Must be able to translate technical needs for non-technical audiences and explain technical terms and subjects clearly to clinicians and end users. Must demonstrate a strong customer service focus and a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Essential Cognitive Abilities: Must be able to manage multiple projects and support multiple systems simultaneously, organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Must possess strong analytical skills to assess and resolve issues ranging from simple to highly complex. Must be able to remain focused and perform effectively under pressure and competing priorities.
  • Essential Sensory Requirements: Must be able to respond to customer needs by accurately interpreting facial expressions and verbal communication., * The Team Member must have held his/her current position for a minimum of six (6) months. This requirement may be waived if internal conditions so call for.
  • The Team Member must have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to qualify for the open position.
  • The Team Member must not have been received a written disciplinary action in the last six (6) months.
