Job description
Kisinger Campo & Associates (KCA) is seeking a Software Developer to join the team in Tampa. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology and works closely with the development team in a collaborative environment. The selected candidate will write, debug, execute, and maintain source code for a variety of software applications. This individual will partner with the development group to ensure requirements are clearly understood and that solutions are effectively integrated.
The role involves both technical and administrative oversight and is best suited for someone with strong technical abilities. While prior management experience is not required, specialized expertise may lead to additional responsibilities., * Work as team member to answer and log help desk calls when needed
- Department manager assigns tasks
- Design and code solutions to tasks requirements
- Responsible to ensure solutions are QA/QC prior to release
- Offer recommendations or new approach when problems encountered
- Assist in plans, schedules and design of particular phases within a project
- Continues personal education to stay up with industry changes
- Research products and reference material as necessary
- Expert in software design tools in use by the company
- Provide training and documentation on products created
- Must be available to work overtime as necessary
- Presence at the designated office or job site is necessary to fulfill the requirements of this position
Requirements
- Minimum Years of Job Experience: 2 years' experience in Software Development
- Degree Required: Bachelors in Software Development
- Experience developing Microsoft MVC applications using C#
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience building SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions using React
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proficiency with Python
- Experience developing APIs with FastAPI
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Azure
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate for workflow automation
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI for dashboards, reports, and connecting to business data sources
- Familiarity with Power Query, data modeling, and DAX is a plus
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar development tools
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and support production applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical users
AI and Emerging Technology Skills
- Interest in developing and deploying AI-based business solutions
- Willingness to learn new technologies and help guide the company's adoption of AI tools
- Experience or familiarity with large language models such as ChatGPT, OpenAI APIs, Ollama, or similar platforms
- Experience or familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and document chunking
- Experience or familiarity with ChromaDB or similar vector database tools is a plus
- Ability to prototype, test, and deploy AI tools that use company data securely and responsibly
- Understanding of API-based AI integrations, including prompts, responses, and structured JSON output
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, context retrieval, and model evaluation is a plus
Additional Preferred Skills
- ESRI GIS and CADD software experience is a plus, * Bachelor's (Required)
