Job description
Volt Lites is seeking a proactive and service oriented IT Support Specialist. The selected
candidate will provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support across the organization, collaborating with
senior IT support to upkeep and maintain existing infrastructure and systems. The successful candidate
will be the first point of contact for technical assistance and will handle a wide range of IT support
requests from basic troubleshooting and resets to more complex technical issues. This role requires, * Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance with IT equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues for both Level 1 and Level 2 support cases.

Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, monitors, and other equipment.

Perform basic network troubleshooting, including diagnosing connectivity issues, resetting network devices, and verifying internet access.

Assist in maintaining IT documentation, including user guides, technical procedures, and asset inventories.

Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior level IT support personnel when necessary.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, minimizing business disruption.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent operation of IT Infrastructure
Requirements
problem-solving skills, curiosity about emerging technology, and an eagerness to learn. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication both internal and external, in
addition to working as part of a team and independently. This is a full time, non-exempt, at will position., * 2+ years of experience in IT support or help desk roles in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Strong troubleshooting ability across hardware, software, and network-related issues, with the ability to independently isolate and resolve root causes across devices (e.g., laptops, desktops, printers).

Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addresses, subnets, DNS, DHCP, VLANs,
routing/firewall configurations).

Experience with or a willingness to learn Cisco IOS and Ubiquiti networking stacks.

Proficiency with Linux, MacOS, and Windows operating systems and is comfortable within a Terminal environment across platforms.

Experience with or a willingness to learn Google Workspace, Slack, or similar enterprise system user access management (users, groups, permissions).

Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in IT support or help desk roles in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+ , Network+ , Cisco CCNA, Microsoft certifications) are a plus.

Compensation Package:

$22-$28/hour, non exempt/At Will/ paid Bi-Weekly

40 hours paid time off *

401(k): You will be eligible to participate in Volt's 401(k) Safe Harbor plan and a company
matching formula of 100% on the first 3% of compensation and 50% on the next 2% of
compensation. You can enroll after completing one full year of service.
Unused sick hours will go away at the end of year, with a new bank of 48 sick hours available
January 1. Any remaining vacation hours will be rolled over to the new year.
- Accrued quarterly. Unused time will be paid out at the end of the year with no rollover
Available upon the completion of 30 days
