In the Windows Lab Technician I role, you will blend traditional systems administration with modern Site Reliability Engineering practices, ensuring seamless provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of hardware engineering lab environments., * Support Windows servers and workstations in hardware development labs and data centers
- Using existing automation, deploy Windows & Linux systems following established procedures
- Install servers and similar equipment into server racks or other test fixtures
- Install network and test-fixture cabling following established procedures
- Function as smart-hands for remote subject matter experts
- Resolve end-user concerns under the guidance of senior staff, * Always promotes and maintains the highest standards of customer service
- Proactively learns and utilizes new technologies, concepts, and procedures
- Maintains and continually develops product and application knowledge
- Naturally champions secure processes and proselytizes best practices
Requirements
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual with a strong work ethic and boundless curiosity to join our team. This junior role requires no hands-on experience, though technical know-how is expected, either gained through formal education or self-directed learning. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and eager to learn, grow, and work in a large, complex engineering environment., * AA/AS in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical pursuits or Military Service with related Military Occupational Specialty or occupational training or equivalent knowledge
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. (the occasional server) and work in both a lab and data center environment, * Fundamental Windows systems administration - Install Operating System, connect to a network, create a user, debug basic software function and installation problems, etc.
- TCP/IP network fundamentals - Function of an IP address, Netmask, broadcast address, etc.
- Fundamental understanding of PC hardware
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organization driving the ability to handle a high-paced work environment

Typical base pay for this role across the United States is USD $55,000 - $85,000 per year. This role is eligible for benefits.
