The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is a high-performing leader, problem solver, and innovator who challenges the status quo and drives innovation. In this role, you will analyze complex business problems and develop re-engineered processes and automated technology solutions to address them. You will provide consultation to end users and lead cross-functional teams to resolve business and systems issues. What you'll do
- Works closely with Lam Global Operations teams to understand and support their operational needs and determine the best technology solution.
- Provides analysis and deep insights into business needs and challenges, enabling the best-fit technology solution.
- Deep understanding of the interactions, dependencies, and alignment of different corporate initiatives, business units, and IT strategies.
- Architects and designs business processes and systems solutions in support of business objectives.
- Deep expertise in end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes, e.g., master data, RFQ, forecasting, source determination, MRP, inventory strategies (safety stock, consignment, replenishment, rebalancing, etc.), subcontracting, Purchase Order (PO) management, inbound logistics, costing, supplier invoicing, indirect procurement, etc., and supplier collaboration, e.g., forecasting, inventory, PO management, costing, capacity availability, constraints, etc.
- Ability to connect multiple operations domains (Planning, Fulfillment, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Spares Operations) and their interdependencies with Procurement.
- Collaborates with the business unit in leveraging various Supply Chain Execution and Supplier Collaboration systems (SAP ECC MM/PP, SAP S/4, Product Sourcing, QTM, SAP Flexible Workflows, SAP Portal, BI/Dashboards, Supplier B2B technologies-One Network, Coupa, etc.) to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities.
- Able to wear multiple hats: Business Analyst, Data Analyst, and Systems Analyst, and communicate effectively with a diverse audience, including leadership, to articulate complex planning scenarios, trade-offs, and their impact on Lam Operations.
- Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into business use cases.

- Experience with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies, and the ability to deliver on responsibilities during various project phases, including:
- Requirements (Validation and Alignment)
- Design (Blueprint and Specifications)
- Develop (Technical Specifications, Prototyping, Configuration, and Unit Testing)
- Test (Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing)
- Training/Documentation
- Deploy (Cutover and Go-Live)
- Run (Post-Mortem and Hypercare)
Requirements
- Able to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership experience.
- Experience working with consultants in both support and project environments.
- Must be able to demonstrate the skills and ability to build effective and productive relationships within and outside the immediate team., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Operations, or a related field with 12 years of related experience; or 8 years of related experience and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years of related experience; or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of overall SAP experience, with 3+ years of experience in ECC and S/4 (MM, PP).
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple enterprise systems, including SAP and no-code platforms.
- Experienced in leading more than one end-to-end implementation program that included analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment, including training and data conversion.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical/critical-thinking skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently or with limited direction.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of advanced BI and dashboarding tools, e.g., Microsoft Power Platform.
- Comfortable working with large data sets in MS Excel and querying language like SQL is a plus.
Benefits & conditions
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $114,000.00 -$253,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
