PRISM is seeking a highly disciplined, revenue-generating leader to execute a hybrid "Player-Coach" model. As a dual-role leader, you will focus on building and expanding a personal book of business-hunting new client logos, establishing major MSAs, and securing strategic subcontracting partnerships-while actively managing, shadowing, and mentoring a high-performing team of Business Development Managers (BDMs)., * Team Leadership & Mentorship: Directly manage, shadow, and mentor a high-performing team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), running sales metrics and fostering a results-oriented culture.
- Strategic Growth: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies across our core target verticals (Government Subcontracting & Commercial Staffing, IT Consulting, and Professional Services) to expand the client base and increase revenue streams.
- Full-Cycle Enterprise Sales: Manage end-to-end enterprise sales processes for your personal book of business, including lead qualification, proposal development, negotiations, and deal closing.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to foster long-term collaborations.
- Market Alignment: Oversee the creation of strategic marketing plans that support business growth objectives and enhance brand visibility.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate cross-functional teams on project management activities related to new business initiatives and client onboarding.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize CRM tools to track team and individual sales activities, forecast revenue opportunities, and analyze market trends for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Verifiable success building a net-new book of business from the ground up, with a history of exceeding individual sales quotas and revenue targets.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Experience managing, leading, or mentoring a quota-carrying team of BDMs to drive a collaborative, results-oriented sales culture.
- Relationship Driven: An active, portable network of relationships with federal agencies and/or Tier-1 prime contractors in the DMV ecosystem.
- Recent Industry Footprint: Recent client-facing BD experience within a staffing agency (IT preferred), consulting firm, or professional services organization.
- GovCon & Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of the federal procurement lifecycle, pricing models, complex SOWs, and translating RFPs into actionable sales strategies.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, * Business development: 10 years (Required)
