Job description

The Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM) team is shaping the future of monetization across Amazon's ad-supported publishers - Prime Video, Twitch, Fire TV, Amazon Stores, and Audio. Our mission: build Earth's most customer-centric advertising services., Design, develop, and optimize data models and end-to-end data pipelines across APM's publisher data, leveraging AWS services (such as Redshift, EMR, Airflow, Kinesis, Lambda) and internal Amazon tools

Drive architectural decisions for data solutions within a unified modeling framework that serves both human analysts and AI-powered analytics agents, balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability

Define and implement data quality standards across the datasets you own by building automated monitoring, investigating anomalies, and driving root-cause resolution with minimal guidance

Partner with business stakeholders to deeply understand their decision-making needs, translating ambiguous requirements into trusted, well-modeled data products

Lead the design of next-generation APM data architecture to improve scale, quality, timeliness, coverage, monitoring, and security while influencing team-wide technical direction

Support and mentor other engineers on data engineering best practices, code quality, and system design principles

A day in the life

As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll focus on architecting and maintaining the data pipelines and models that support our publisher monetization platform. You might spend your morning collaborating with analytics and business intelligence teams to understand evolving data requirements, then transition into designing schema improvements or optimizing query performance for our data warehouse.
