Job description

  • Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot software issues across multiple operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring quick resolution of user problems.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues involving LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network equipment like Meraki, Cisco and Sonicwall devices.
  • Manage Active Directory accounts, including user creation, permissions management, password resets, and group policy (GPO) configurations to enforce security policies.
  • Utilize IT service management tools such as Connectwise RMM, ServiceNow, and Help Desk platforms to log incidents, track progress, and communicate effectively with users.
  • Support IT infrastructure components including Windows Server environments and Microsoft Office and M365 applications to optimize user productivity.
  • Assist in equipment troubleshooting and computer management tasks to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.
  • Collaborate with network administration teams to monitor LAN performance and implement security measures like firewalls and VPN access controls.
  • Provide training or guidance on operating systems (Windows, macOS) and mobile device management to end-users for better self-sufficiency.

  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN setup, and firewall configuration.
  • Hands-on experience managing Active Directory environments and group policy objects (GPO).
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident management and ticket tracking.
  • Knowledge of operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11/Server), macOS, Linux distributions.
  • Experience supporting computer hardware components like motherboards, storage devices, graphics cards, and peripherals.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems quickly and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical users.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with strong communication abilities to provide professional support in high-pressure situations.
  • Understanding of network security principles involving firewalls (e.g., Sonicwall), TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, and network administration best practices.
