Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Officer - Digital Workplace to join their IT team on a 6-month contract. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving digital workplace services for a geographically dispersed workforce operating across multiple office locations and remote environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality IT services, supporting end users, driving service improvements, contributing to technology projects, and ensuring an efficient, secure, and user-focused digital workplace experience.

Reporting to the IT Manager - Digital Workplace & Business Applications, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and colleagues across the organisation., * Support the delivery, enhancement, testing, and optimisation of digital workplace services

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to end users, including onsite support in the Brussels office
  • Contribute to digital workplace transformation projects and service improvement initiatives
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of IT service management processes, systems, and documentation
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of asset and configuration management practices (CMDB)
  • Manage and support website platforms, including hosting and security updates
  • Collaborate with managed service providers and vendors to resolve incidents, requests, and technical challenges
  • Monitor service performance, user adoption, service levels, and user satisfaction metrics
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives related to workplace technologies and end-user services
  • Assist with change management and user adoption activities
  • Create training materials, user documentation, knowledge articles, and operating procedures
  • Deliver user onboarding sessions, training, and guidance on workplace technologies
  • Provide technical input into supplier evaluations, technology selection, and service improvements
  • Contribute to project delivery alongside internal teams, consultants, and third-party providers

Requirements

Our client is looking for a hands-on IT professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent customer service skills.

Essential Experience

  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Endpoint Management, and Power Platform components
  • Experience delivering IT support within a medium-sized organisation
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles and best practices
  • Experience working with external suppliers, managed service providers, and technology vendors
  • Strong awareness of cybersecurity principles and secure workplace technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience producing technical documentation, user guides, and training materials
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable Experience

  • Microsoft certifications or equivalent technical qualifications
  • Experience managing Apple MacOs environments
  • Experience supporting website hosting and WordPress platforms
  • Experience working in hybrid or international organisations
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery principles and practices
  • Additional European language skills
