Job description
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to translate business ambition into platform value and design enterprise-ready IT-OT architectures with our customers. This role is critical in turning strategic interest into board-approved platform decisions, acting as a trusted advisor during the sales and early adoption journey. You will bridge business strategy and platform value, executive ambition and technical reality, and Proof of Value with long-term enterprise architecture.
Requirements
- Strong experience as Enterprise Architect, Solution / Platform Architect, or IT Transformation Architect \n
- Proven track record delivering large-scale ERP, cloud, or platform transformation programs at enterprise level (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, Azure, AWS, ServiceNow, Salesforce or similar)\n
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales or advisory roles: workshops, business cases, architecture reviews with C-level stakeholders\n
- Background in or significant exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or logistics enterprise environments - you understand how business and IT connect at scale in complex operations\n
- Familiarity with platform and ecosystem-based models, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise governance\n
- Ideally based in: Rhine-Main, Munich, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, or Cologne/Bonn\n

Enterprise Architecture Design \n \n
- Co-create enterprise architectures with customers, spanning cloud, edge, and operational environments\n
- Design target architectures for software-defined automation, Physical AI integration, and scalable, multi-site operations\n
- Align Wandelbots NOVA with enterprise IT standards, security and governance requirements, and cloud and shopfloor environments\n

Maturity Assessment & Capability Frameworks \n \n
- Develop and evolve technology-agnostic capability frameworks\n
- Lead highly interactive maturity assessment workshops with business leaders, IT architects, and automation experts\n
- Identify gaps, constraints, and transformation levers across technology, organization, governance, skills, and operating model\n

Transformation Roadmaps & Value Realization \n \n
- Design enterprise transformation roadmaps with a phased adoption approach, risk mitigation strategy, and value realization plan\n
- Ensure roadmaps are realistic, scalable, and anchored in customer P&L logic\n

Expansion & Business Development Support \n \n
- Identify expansion opportunities across use cases, sites, and regions\n
- Support Sales and Partner teams in building expansion narratives, developing business cases, and structuring long-term framework agreements\n
- Act as architectural continuity across the customer lifecycle\n

- Experience with EA frameworks and tooling (TOGAF, ArchiMate, LeanIX)\n
- Background working at or with a technology scale-up or product company\n
