Job description
As Junior Data Scientist, you know the secrets of transforming complex data into reliable insights and solutions. You will work on a key part of Rabobank's transaction monitoring models and help improve the quality and effectiveness of these solutions.
You will spend much of your time programming, testing and improving components of these models. At the same time, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, explain outcomes and help deliver valuable features. Because the teams operate in a highly collaborative environment, communication and teamwork are essential parts of your role.

- Present model outcomes and technical solutions to stakeholders and explain the impact of your work.
- Collaborate with colleagues across squads to develop and implement new features.
You & your future
You will work on your career by developing and improving transaction monitoring models together with experienced colleagues. You will join one of our data science squads, work in a highly collaborative environment and contribute to solutions that support the bank in managing financial risks. You will combine technical development with stakeholder interaction and learn how data science creates impact within a large organisation.
And then? After successfully completing the programme, you will continue to develop yourself as a Data Scientist within Rabobank. You will have built a strong professional network, gained practical experience and developed the skills needed to grow your career further.
You will join a team of around 10 colleagues, including Data Scientists, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other specialists. Depending on your strengths and interests, you may work in a squad with a stronger programming focus or in a squad with more stakeholder interaction.
Requirements
- A Masters' university degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or another technical field.
- Experience with Python programming through studies, internships, projects or work experience.
- Affinity with software development and building technical solutions. Strong collaboration skills.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative.
- Enthusiasm for learning, developing and working with others.
Benefits & conditions
- Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 3,516 and EUR 5,021 (scale 07) for a 36-hour work week.
- Extras: a thirteenth month, 8% holiday allowance, and a 10% Employee Benefit Budget.
