Senior Software Engineer - Brighton

• We design, build, and maintain software that is critical to our flagship access control products.
• We design solutions for new features and bug fixes according to project requirements and specifications.
• We provide leadership for project requirements, planning, and reporting.
• We collaborate with the Principal Engineer, Apps, and Cloud teams.
• We ensure the technical integrity of user interfaces, back-end API services, mobile apps, and cloud services using test-driven design methodologies and best practice.
• We identify problems or risks early in the development cycle to help the team avoid or mitigate issues and deliver work efficiently.
• We provide input and suggestions on other team members designs and take part in decision-making to keep tasks and deliverables moving forward.
• We actively review our own and other peoples code throughout the development process to support good coding practices.
• We review and provide feedback on requirements, specifications, and designs to assure product quality.
• We contribute to decisions on overall architecture and the technologies used in our software products.
• We mentor and coach team members.

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or proven industry experience as a substitute.
• We are looking for solid experience in back-end development, especially in C# .NET.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Angular, or React would be advantageous.
• We require strong experience with .NET Web API.
• We are looking for solid experience working with databases.
• Knowledge or experience with Azure cloud services would be advantageous but is not essential.
• We are looking for an excellent team player who enjoys collaborating with other developers.
• We value the right attitude as much as skills or experience.
