Job description
This is a temporary role, designed to coincide with the duration of the project specific need - expected to be around 18 months.
This role is responsible for overall administration rights for the RON related systems. The role holder will need to be knowledgeable on the RON architecture and how it all links together as well as have an in-depth understanding of procedure in the event the services are failing. The successful candidate will also have any Issues are escalated to them from the O&M staff.
This will be an on-site role, working on a 24/7 shift pattern within the RON network, meaning you could be based in Palestra, Waterloo or other designated sites associated with the programme., Your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Group Policy Maintenance
- Managing/processing new starters, movers and leavers
- Passwords Resets
- AD Management
- Storage Management
- Backup and Disaster Recovery (obtaining VMs from the back-ups and importing them)
- Virtualisation Management
- Server Maintenance and Upgrades
- Log in / log off activities for new systems and applications
- Distributed file storage / sharing
- Management/admin rights for IT infrastructure (Windows, Nagios, Splunk etc)
- Management/admin rights for distribution network (Nokia NSP, IP/MPLS)
- Resolving faults with the RON management systems (including reinstallation if needed)
- Run book (Service Centre Technical Document)
- Use of Metrix
