Job description
Quest Global looking for Senior Configuration Engineer to support our customer requiremetns as listed below, Long term accountability for the configuration management of all designs (product, test rig and software) at Client requirements.
Administer, maintain and develop change management processes as appropriate.
Provide administration and additional PLM implementation support to the business, including training and mentoring.
Reporting directly to the Engineering resource manager for function and delivery as the PLM SME (Subject Matter Expert).
Core Duties (Key Day to Day Tasks, ideally 10 - 12 points)
- Ensure software configuration meets Clients internal, legislative and security requirements and aligns with current processes.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) on configuration engineering and use of Teamcenter.
- Support the definition and creation of workflows and best practices within Teamcenter.
- Develop and maintain user guides and training material to support the use of Teamcenter.
- Hold regular training sessions with the engineering teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements and drive a continuous improvement culture.
- Monitor and manage licence usage and ensure licence compliance.
- Support cross functional system integration with other software platforms e.g. SolidEdge, Ansys, SAP, MS Office.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Configuration Management principles, concepts, practices and standards.
- Experience of working with Teamcenter and/or other PLM system in an administrative capacity.
- SAP aware / user would be beneficial.
- Understanding of security classification and its impact on the functionality within PLM is beneficial.

The role will be instrumental in the ongoing use of Teamcenter within David Brown defence and the configuration and requirements management of IP for all future projects.

Experience working with Teamcenter or similar PLM / configuration System
Preferred: Degree in engineering related subject
