Consolidated Networks Corporation (CNC) is hiring a Systems Administrator II. This is an exempt position at Ft. Irwin, the U.S. Army National Training Center (NTC), located in the Mojave Desert 40 miles northeast of Barstow, CA. Candidate will perform the duties outlined below and other duties as assigned in a complex fast paced 24 x 7 DoD Army computing environment., * Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
- Provide recommendations for improving the network environment and server infrastructure.
- Maintain IAVA, STIG compliance on systems applying baselines, upgrades, and patches. Assist in system FISMA. RMF and accreditation audits.
- Troubleshoots IT server and application-based issues and outages
- Manages, installs and configures software and hardware (Windows, Redhat & VMware)
- Manage an enterprise Active Directory environment
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to SOPs
- Assists PDSS with the upgrade of systems, installation of new systems, and installation of new software releases
- Perform Risk Management Framework tasks and duties
- Ability to effectively interact via verbal and written communications with stakeholders.
- Support 24-hour Rotational shifts
- End user support
- And other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret security Clearance;
- Security + CE or equivalent certification.
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain post driving privileges;
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment;
- Must be willing to work shift work during rotations;
- Must be able to travel to remote locations on post in extreme weather conditions as required to include the heat, and cold of the Mojave Desert, helicopter travel, 4x4 travel, tactical vehicles elevated walkways, and mountain tops.
Skills:
- 3-5 Years experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent education.
- Windows Server 2019/2016/2012
- Windows 10/11
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Solaris
- VMware or HyperV
- SQL Database Management
- SolarWinds
- Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Power Shell
- DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- NATO phonetic alphabet
- Excellent organization ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to communicate via two-way radio, * System Administrator : 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CompTIA Security + certification or equivalent (Required)

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year, * 401(k)
