XOVR CNC Parts & Service is seeking multiple Laser Applications Specialists to provide expert-level application support, process optimization, training, and technical solutions for CNC machine tools across the United States., Applications & Technical Support
- Baseline and debug new CNC equipment systems at customer sites.
- Train new customers and operators on equipment operation, procedures, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot existing equipment systems and provide remote and on-site support.
- Develop and optimize cutting parameters and processes for customer applications.
- Collaborate with customers to improve machine utilization and cycle times.
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support on CNC machine tools.
Documentation & Reporting
- Perform data analysis to assess machinery performance.
- Document machine safety, maintenance, and operational reports accurately and thoroughly.
- Read and interpret layout, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams and schematics.
- Generate application reports, case studies, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, service, and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback for product improvements and customer pain points.

Travel Requirements
- Non-local employees: 90% travel required.
- Murrieta, CA / Bozeman, MT employees: 70% travel with partial time at the local facility.
- Regular travel within assigned U.S. territories (Up to 3 weeks on-site; home on weekends when possible).
- Some projects may require extended time on-site.
Requirements
This role is ideal for a hands-on, customer-facing engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment and wants to make a direct impact on customer productivity. Experience with CNC equipment is preferred. Experience with fiber laser cutting systems used in metal fabrication is a strong plus. All candidates must live within one hour of a major U.S. airport., Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems, including software installation, driver management, and basic system troubleshooting.
- Experience with CNC machine tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams (layout, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in laser cutting is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated with strong customer-service orientation.
- Ability to configure IP addresses, Ethernet communications, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience with CNC machine tools.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, DraftSight, or similar programs.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, I/O diagnostics, and basic PLC troubleshooting.
- Must live within one hour of a major U.S. airport.
