Job description

Collaborate with project managers on various initiatives and projects to track progress and provide support as necessary.

  • Support leadership in ensuring that the project is delivered to specifications, is on time, and within budget.
  • Work closely with management and work groups to create and maintain work plan documents.
  • Track the status and due dates of projects.
  • Manage relationships with project staff responsible for projects.
  • Produce regular weekly and monthly status reports that could include; work plan status, target dates, budget, resource capacity, and other reports as needed.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and reviews.
  • Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties independently under the direction of the direct manager and/or Project Manager on specific projects.
  • Lead and support organizational change management activities across one or more Child Support system modernization project management engagements.
  • Develop and implement organizational change management strategies, plans, and deliverables to support organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption.
  • Conduct stakeholder analyses, change impact assessments, readiness assessments, and related analyses to inform OCM planning and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain OCM work products such as stakeholder engagement plans, communications plans, readiness plans, training support materials, status reports, presentations, meeting notes, issue logs, and other client-ready deliverables.
  • Plan for and facilitate interviews, workshops, focus groups, planning sessions, and meetings needed to support project deliverables.
  • Attend and lead project meetings with clients, subcontractors, stakeholders, and Maximus team members, as requested by the Manager or Project Manager.
  • Analyze project information and stakeholder feedback to identify change risks, readiness gaps, stakeholder concerns, training needs, and opportunities to improve adoption outcomes.
  • Research alternatives, evaluate options, and provide verbal and written recommendations to appropriate parties.
  • Coordinate with project management, business, training, technical, testing, and implementation teams to align OCM activities with project milestones and deployment needs.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, talking points, briefings, and other communications tailored to executive, stakeholder, and user audiences.
  • Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and barriers to adoption, and support mitigation and resolution planning.
  • Support the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports in accordance with contract requirements and project needs.
  • Track action items, follow-ups, and decisions, and help ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with project staff, client representatives, and cross-functional teams to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Provide subject matter support related to organizational change management practices, stakeholder engagement, readiness planning, communications, training support, and adoption approaches.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on OCM approaches, documentation quality, facilitation practices, and client-facing interactions, as needed.
  • Support the team in completing assigned responsibilities as outlined in the project schedule.
  • Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Complete project work in compliance with Maximus standards and procedures.
  • Support all other tasks assigned by the Manager or Project Manager.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field.

  • 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must be available to work during standard client business hours. Projects may involve clients from any US time zone, so work outside of the individual's local business hours may be required.
  • Prosci's ADKAR Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) certification or similar change management certification.
  • Six (6) or more years of current, relevant experience supporting organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, or user adoption activities on large public-sector technology implementation or modernization projects.
  • Experience developing and implementing organizational change management strategies, plans, and deliverables that support organizational readiness and successful adoption of new systems, business processes, and ways of working.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder analyses, change impact assessments, readiness assessments, communications planning, and training support activities.
  • Experience working directly with client leadership, program stakeholders, project teams, and cross-functional resources in a matrix-managed, client-facing environment.
  • Strong ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources and translate findings into clear recommendations and client-ready deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings, prepare reports and presentations, and communicate effectively with executives, project teams, end users, and external partners.
  • Experience coordinating with project management, business, and technical teams to align change activities with project milestones and delivery needs.
  • Knowledge of organizational change management principles, methods, and practices used in effective change programs.
  • Strong understanding of public-sector human services organizations and the change impacts associated with large system modernization efforts.
  • Experience working in the Child Support Program or on Child Support system modernization initiatives is strongly preferred.
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience is preferred, particularly in client-facing roles involving change strategy, stakeholder engagement, executive communications, readiness planning, training support, and end-user adoption.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.
  • Must have flexibility for travel and a hybrid work schedule that may include remote and onsite work, depending on client and project needs.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
