Job description
Summary: The Website Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise web applications and websites under the guidance of the AWS Web Architect and Director of Enterprise Apps. This role focuses on hands-on coding, content management, and day-to-day site operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences., Essential functions of the role that can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Develop, update, and maintain websites and web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

Implement WordPress themes, plugins, and customizations in alignment with architectural standards and design specifications

Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance concerns in coordination with the Web Architect

Assist in the execution of project plans, timelines, and deliverables as directed by the Web Architect and project leads

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, IT, operations) to gather requirements and implement web enhancements

Upload, format, and manage website content, media, and product data in accordance with brand and accessibility guidelines

Support integration efforts by testing APIs, data feeds, and third-party services under the supervision of the Web Architect
-
Perform routine database tasks (e.g., MySQL queries, data imports/exports) as needed for site updates and reporting
-
Conduct cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure consistent user experience across devices and platform
-
Follow established security, coding, and deployment standards to maintain site integrity and compliance

Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
-
2+ years of experience in web development or website management
-
- Knowledge of retail eCommerce technologies on AWS platform
-
Experience managing cross-functional teams
-
Strong leadership and communication skills
-
Experience with web application User Experience (UX) design, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards

Familiarity with managing and supporting database, API technologies and creates solutions for identified problems or bugs
-
Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
-
Experience with websites using WordPress, RDS/MySQL and ElastiCache/Redis
-
Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends and apply relevant advancements to operations and activities
Language Skills: Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English language.
Work Hours: In a typical week, this position requires a minimum of 40 hours with regular and predictable attendance. Occasional nights and weekend work may be required.
Work Environment: This work is usually performed indoors in an office environment with normal noise levels and no exposure to hazardous conditions. Employees in this position are required to reside in a state where SAM is registered to conduct business., Preferred
