Job description
This IT Software Engineer I position is a great opportunity for a professional who's looking to provide consumer protection and public safety for all Idahoans.
The Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses provides consumer protection and public safety through its regulation of more than 250,000 licensees within 44 Boards and Commissions for the great State of Idaho., To support all aspects of applications programming; manage a program of system maintenance activities; perform related work.
Example of Duties:
- Conducts analysis of business needs and develops specifications.
- Troubleshoots application problems independently.
- Assists in design sessions by presenting logical statements of business problems and designs and offering and incorporating ideas.
- Manages a program of system maintenance activities, ensuring change requests and small enhancements are completed per plans.
- Develops code to add functionality to new or existing systems.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of multiple programming languages and software development tool suites
- Software development processes and software testing practices.
- Experience creating, interpreting and documenting user requirements
- Testing and deploying production systems.
MQ Specialties:
- Experience in computer graphic design techniques.
- Experience developing and maintaining a website.
