- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers responsible for delivering scalable software and data platform solutions.

Drive Technical Execution and Engineering Excellence
- Lead technical execution across the team's software and data platform initiatives.
- Review architecture, influence technical design decisions, and guide engineering best practices.
- Improve software development processes, platform scalability, operational efficiency, security, governance, and data quality.
- Partner with senior engineers to solve complex technical challenges while maintaining high standards for reliability and maintainability.
- Contribute technically when appropriate, including design discussions, architecture reviews, and hands-on problem solving.
Deliver Strategic Data Products and Platform Capabilities
- Partner closely with Network, Product, Care, Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted device intelligence and geospatial analytics capabilities.
- Prioritize engineering work that delivers scalable, reusable data products supporting customer experience and Autonomous Network initiatives.
- Manage technical vendor relationships and ensure delivered capabilities align with engineering and business objectives.
- Translate complex engineering work into actionable business outcomes for stakeholders.
Build Organizational Capability
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
- Develop future technical leaders while strengthening overall engineering capabilities.
- Promote collaboration across distributed and cross-functional teams.

DIGI owns the engineering and delivery of software platforms and data products that transform large-scale device diagnostics into trusted business insights.

- AI-enabled analytics services
- Data quality and governance
- Software platforms supporting internal business intelligence
The team influences business and network decisions by providing trusted intelligence but does not directly operate or optimize the production network.

Network Engineering - to provide trusted intelligence that helps identify customer-impacting network issues and prioritize investments.
Product Management - to prioritize engineering work and evolve reusable platform capabilities.
Customer Care - to improve customer support through better diagnostics and actionable insights.
Engineering - to integrate DIGI data products into enterprise platforms and applications.
Business Leadership - to provide scalable engineering solutions that support strategic initiatives across T-Mobile.

Experience across every technology is not required, but candidates should have strong software engineering fundamentals and experience leading modern engineering teams.
Requirements

Telecommunications experience is helpful but not required. We are primarily seeking an experienced software engineering leader with strong technical depth and a passion for solving complex engineering problems.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required)
- Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or in a computer programming related field. (Required)
- 4-7 years Experience in an Analytics and Business Intelligence development environment. (Required)
- Less than 2 years Experience in managing or supervising a team of 15 developers or more. (Required)

Base Pay Range: $136,600 - $246,300
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
