Join our dynamic team as a Temporary Turn Technician dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality of student housing facilities. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and maintenance expertise in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for executing turn-related repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living experience for students. Your proactive approach and technical skills will contribute directly to the seamless operation of our residential communities., * Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and replacement tasks on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment within student housing units.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct electrical equipment repairs, including troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters and programming logic controllers (PLCs).
- Execute welding tasks and perform residential painting to maintain aesthetic standards of the facilities.
- Oversee plumbing system maintenance and repair to ensure optimal water flow and prevent leaks or blockages.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Support team leadership by supervising junior staff or contractors during turn activities while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, repair operations (MRO), or related fields with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Demonstrated electrical experience including repair of electrical equipment and understanding schematics.
- Skilled in HVAC system repair and troubleshooting to maintain climate control systems effectively.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, and manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical schematics and operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
- Supervising experience or leadership capabilities are preferred for coordinating tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including welding, painting, lifting heavy objects, and working at heights safely.
