Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate network readiness activities to ensure successful manufacturing launch execution., Coordinate all network readiness activities and project milestones to support successful new model launches within the manufacturing environment. Ensure network infrastructure, including LAN, wireless, cellular connectivity, switches, access points, and cabling, is installed, configured, and operational. Collaborate with Network Engineering, Manufacturing IT, suppliers, and other stakeholders to align project deliverables and launch timelines. Lead testing, validation, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure network systems perform reliably under production conditions. Track, identify, and resolve network-related risks, issues, and delays, escalating critical concerns as needed. Maintain project documentation, JIRA updates, status reports, and launch readiness records while communicating progress to leadership and project teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, network operations, or network infrastructure deployment. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including LAN, wireless infrastructure, Catalyst switches, routing, switching, and network management tools. Proven experience coordinating network deployments, troubleshooting enterprise wired/wireless environments, and supporting large-scale manufacturing or industrial network implementations.
