Job description

The Systems & Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the organization's information technology infrastructure. This position manages servers, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, cybersecurity systems, backup and disaster recovery solutions, cloud services, identity management, and enterprise applications to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient business operations. Working closely with the IT Manager and other IT staff, the Systems & Network Administrator installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots, and supports enterprise hardware and software while maintaining compliance with corporate policies, customer cybersecurity requirements, and applicable industry standards. The position serves as a technical resource for infrastructure projects, incident response, disaster recovery planning, vulnerability remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives., · Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and virtualization infrastructure.

· Administer network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, and Internet services.

· Maintain Microsoft 365 services and related cloud administration.

· Monitor system health, capacity, performance, and availability.

· Administer endpoint management, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.

· Support cybersecurity controls including endpoint protection, MFA, logging, monitoring, and incident response.

· Maintain backup systems and regularly validate recovery procedures.

· Implement infrastructure improvements and technology projects.

· Provide Tier III technical support and escalation assistance.

· Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

· Coordinate with hardware, software, telecommunications, and service vendors.

· Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity activities.

Requirements

· Windows Server administration and Active Directory.

· Virtualization technologies (VMware preferred).

· TCP/IP networking, switching, routing, VLANs, wireless, VPNs, DNS and DHCP.

· Microsoft 365 administration and identity services.

· Cybersecurity principles including endpoint protection, MFA, vulnerability management, logging, and incident response.

· Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.

· Storage systems and server hardware.

· Manufacturing business systems and ERP environments.

· ITIL-based service management concepts.

· Vendor and project management.

Skills and Abilities

· Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and network issues.

· Manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

· Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.

· Document systems, procedures, and standards.

· Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.

· Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades with minimal downtime.

· Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

· Work effectively in a manufacturing environment where production uptime is critical., · Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

· Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible systems and network administration experience.

· Experience supporting enterprise Windows environments, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity technologies.

Preferred Certifications

· Microsoft certification

· VMware certification

· Cisco or Meraki networking certification

· CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+

· ITIL Foundation (preferred)
