Job description

Looking for a hands-on IT professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges while supporting a mission-driven organization? Join KVC and play a vital role in keeping systems running smoothly across multiple healthcare locations., As an IT Support Specialist, you will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user technical issues across hardware, software, network systems, and Electronic Health Records. This role requires strong independent problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a customer-first mindset. This is an on-site position and employee must live within the ST Louis metro area due to travel time and training., * Provide technical support via phone, ticketing system, and in-person field work

  • Troubleshoot desktop hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity
  • Support and configure Electronic Health Record systems
  • Install, update, and maintain hardware and software
  • Document all work within the support request system
  • Assist with IT projects and system improvements
  • Maintain hardware, software, and spare equipment inventories
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed
  • Escalate recurring issues to Network Engineers and leadership

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure all work aligns with system security protocols
  • Stay current on cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT-related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • 3 years of experience in a technical support role

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified (Azure, Hybrid)
  • Cisco CCNA
  • CompTIA certifications, * Windows, ChromeOS, and occasional Mac systems
  • Active Directory, Microsoft administration, and Azure
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting (wired and wireless)
  • Imaging tools, device management, and system utilities
  • Citrix and software deployment tools
  • Security software installation and management
  • AI tools and troubleshooting
  • Conference room and telemedicine technology
  • Electronic Health Records and related medical devices, * Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving
  • Ability to manage crises and make decisions under pressure
  • High level of professionalism, adaptability, and accountability
