Job description
- Proactively monitor and manage application health and performance.
- Own incident and problem management for production issues, including job failures, feed management, and alert response.
- Perform root cause analysis and ensure follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and create support documentation, policies, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Develop a working understanding of supported business processes, including credit-related workflows.
- Support releases, upgrades, implementations, and environment changes.
- Ensure continuity and quality by owning issues across platforms and escalating when necessary.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to critical incidents.
- Provide after-hours and weekend support for deployments, infrastructure changes, disaster recovery tests, and industry initiatives.
- Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to ensure stable operations.
Requirements
We are seeking an Production Support Engineer / Application Support Engineer (L2/L3) to join our operations and production support team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise application production support, monitoring, and incident/problem management and a proven ability to restore service quickly, perform root cause analysis, and drive stability improvements across complex platforms., * 5+ years of experience in application development and/or production support.
- Hands-on experience with multiple technologies: Oracle/SQL, Salesforce, Informatica, J2EE, UNIX, .NET, OpenShift.
- 2+ years using monitoring and support tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace and/or AppDynamics.
- Experience managing complex batch environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Remedy and incident/problem management processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage critical incidents under pressure.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and solid documentation practices, including work with US-based partners.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior Salesforce production support experience.
- Exposure to incident trend analysis, problem management, and automation or process improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of credit-related business processes.
