Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support and optimize mission-critical Oracle database environments for a large enterprise organization. This role focuses on high availability, database performance, disaster recovery, replication, and automation across complex Oracle infrastructure., * Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise Oracle database environments.
- Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure to ensure high availability and system reliability.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Data Guard environments for disaster recovery.
- Implement and support Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions.
- Perform database performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide root cause analysis.
- Automate database provisioning, deployments, patching, and maintenance using automation tools.
- Support database upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and development teams to ensure optimal database performance.
- Maintain database security, backup, recovery, and operational best practices.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has extensive experience administering enterprise Oracle environments and enjoys solving complex database performance and reliability challenges., * 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Oracle RAC
- Oracle ASM
- Oracle Grid Infrastructure
- Oracle Data Guard
- Oracle GoldenGate
- Advanced experience with Oracle database performance tuning and SQL optimization.
- Experience automating database administration using tools such as Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise production environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills., Experience with:
- Oracle Database upgrades and migrations
- Database automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Backup and recovery strategies
- Linux administration
- Shell scripting or Python scripting
- Enterprise monitoring and performance tools
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise database environments are strongly preferred. Backgrounds in industries such as utilities, energy, healthcare, financial services, or other mission-critical enterprise environments are highly valued.
