Job description

This position is an entry-level position that works under the direction and tutelage of the IT Manager . This position supports the efforts of the IT department and assists with user and server PC maintenance, updates, training and support while working to fully utilize all the capabilities of our I.T. systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

  2. Assist as needed in the daily performance of computer systems and technology.

  3. Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.

  4. Maintain a record of communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.

  5. Confer with users to establish requirements for new systems or modifications and present recommendations to IT Manager.

  6. Collaboratively with the IT Manager, continuously explore, examine and evaluate new technology (sfw/hdw) solutions, and industry-related resources.

  7. As a backup to the IT Manager - continuously learn Intuitive for features, user ability, functionality, troubleshooting/problem resolution, report generation, and user support. Troubleshoot problems and answer questions to prevent downtime, while enhancing the use of hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and operating systems.

  8. Assist with training of new employees on existing products and existing employees on new products/updates.

Job Specifications

Requirements

A college degree is preferred or progress towards the same. Training will be included enhancing skills such as troubleshooting and correcting PC (hardware and software) and user issues. User training experience a plus., * High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Windows Support: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Computer networking: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Required)
