Job description

We're looking for an Integration Developer to join our Technology team and help us connect the systems that keep Keep Supply running. You'll build and maintain the integrations that tie together our ERP, eCommerce platform, PIM, CRM, and the other tools our team depends on every day.

As an Integration Developer, you're the person who bridges the gap between platforms - writing clean, efficient code that makes disparate systems talk to each other reliably. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly with teammates across departments, and bring intellectual curiosity and humility to every challenge.

When our integrations are running cleanly, orders flow, data is accurate, and our team spends less time fighting fires and more time growing the business. This role sits at the center of that.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain software components for system integration across our platform stack (Brightpearl, Magento, Salesforce, and others) - primarily in Python.
  • Build and maintain APIs, including RESTful API development and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior team members in an agile environment - scrum, sprints, the whole deal.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve technical issues as business needs evolve.
  • Write code that is efficient, maintainable, and meets team standards.
  • Conduct unit tests and other testing to validate functionality before it hits production.
  • Document software designs, specs, and technical decisions so the team stays aligned.
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members as opportunities arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

A Typical Week Looks Like

Most of your time is spent writing and reviewing code - building new integrations, maintaining existing ones, and debugging when something breaks. You'll be in regular communication with teammates across Technology and other departments to understand what's needed and why. The throughline: clean code, clear communication, and owning what you ship.

Requirements

  • Technical problem-solving - you dig in, think through the issue, and find solutions rather than waiting for someone else.
  • Python proficiency - advanced knowledge of Python or a comparable language (Rust, Go, C#).
  • Design patterns knowledge - working knowledge of core design patterns, such as MVC, factory, etc.
  • Programming Paradigm Experience - ability to effectively apply object oriented and domain development models
  • API development experience - you've built and documented RESTful APIs and understand what makes them good.
  • Database fundamentals - solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Collaborative mindset - you work well on a team, communicate clearly, and don't silo yourself.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - Real-world experience counts.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience with Airflow or a similar DataOps composition tool.
  • Development in Google Cloud (or equivalent - AWS or Azure).
  • Familiarity with Docker or other container technology.
  • Experience with both microservice architectures and monorepos.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with any of our core platforms: Brightpearl (ERP), Magento, Salesforce.
  • Experience working in a distribution, wholesale, or eCommerce environment.
  • Any background that demonstrates you care about system reliability and data correctness.
