Job description
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join a mission-critical enterprise systems modernization program. In this role, you will collaborate within an Agile Scrum environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure enterprise software solutions. You will be responsible for defining test strategies, developing automated test suites for enterprise workflow platforms, and mentoring junior team members. Primary Responsibilities Agile Quality Assurance: Partner with cross-functional development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery utilizing Agile Scrum best practices. Requirement Analysis: Analyze functional and capability requirements, collaborating closely with Tech Leads and Test Managers to ensure verifiable, testable implementations. Test Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated test suites utilizing native enterprise platform automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow Automation Test Framework). Sprint Support: Assist in identifying testable acceptance criteria within user stories, test active sprint capabilities, and actively participate in sprint planning and reviews. Comprehensive Testing Execution: Perform thorough regression testing, operational test scenarios, end-to-end system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) data preparation. Reporting & Tracking: Document test results, system anomalies, and configuration changes in detailed test summary reports. Use Jira to manage testing lifecycles, updates, and defect tracking. Traceability & Configuration: Maintain Requirements Verification Traceability Matrices (RVTM) and support software configuration management processes across system interfaces. Leadership: Mentors, guides, and coaches junior developers and QA testers throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen holding an active DoD Secret security clearance. Compliance Certification: Must hold an active security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II standards or higher (e.g., Security+ CE). Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree with 812 years of relevant QA engineering experience, OR Masters Degree with 610 years of relevant experience. (Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree). Technical QA Skills: Proven experience in test data management, automated testing frameworks, and regression testing. DevOps & Methodology: Practical experience working within DevOps pipelines, utilizing continuous integration (CI/CD) systems and version control tools in an Agile framework. Mobility: Ability to provide full-time, on-site support at one of our designated program locations., Enterprise Platform Expertise: 35 years of experience with enterprise platform administration, configuration, and platform maintenance (specifically focused on ServiceNow). Platform Modules: Direct familiarity with core enterprise modules such as ITOM (Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping), workflows, business rules, custom applications, and platform scripting. Troubleshooting: Strong ability to perform code analysis, debug complex technical issues, identify system deficiencies, and recommend architectural solutions. Frameworks & Best Practices: Foundational knowledge of ITIL processes or ITIL Certification. Cloud Infrastructure: Associate or Professional level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS). Collaboration Tools: Proficient with Jira and Confluence for documentation and sprint management. Tester - creating test cases from requirements, regression testing, develop test plans (if doing this for servicenow that is ideal) and must have secret, onsite every day, automation testing/ framework, 8+ years, can sit at any of these 3 sites: Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full time on-site support
