Android Engineer (Level 601 / 602)

We are looking for a hands-on Android Engineer to build and enhance customer-facing mobile applications. This role requires strong Kotlin development experience, modern Android architecture knowledge, and excellent coding skills. Candidates should be comfortable building scalable UI applications that communicate with backend services while following modern engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Build responsive customer-facing UI components integrated with backend services.
• Implement clean architecture using MVI and modern Android design patterns.
• Develop asynchronous features using Coroutines, Flow, and StateFlow.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong focus on performance.
• Perform unit testing using Mockito and integration testing using Cucumber-based frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and architectural discussions.

• Strong experience developing Android applications in production.
• Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines.
• Solid understanding of Android fundamentals, including Android Manifest, Lifecycle, Navigation, WorkManager, permissions, notifications, and deep links.
• Experience with architectural design patterns (MVI/MVVM) and SOLID principles.
• REST API integration using Retrofit/OkHttp.
• Experience with Room, DataStore, caching, and offline data handling.
• Dependency Injection using Hilt or Dagger.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and memory optimization skills.
• Hands-on experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Basic knowledge of AI tools and AI-powered application features.

Preferred Skills

• Multi-module Gradle architecture and build optimization.
• Android security best practices.
• Logging, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Exposure to ML Kit, TensorFlow Lite, or AI/LLM integrations.
