Job description
GDIT is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Video Services (GVS) business area to enable the integration of video services into the Department of War.This is a hybrid role, and selected candidate will be expected to provide a combination of remote (20%) and onsite (80%) support in Chantilly, VA or Fort Meade, Maryland., * Automate security scanning and manage cloud identity and compliance, ensuring software is secure.
- Monitors cloud environments for misconfigurations and enforces security policies.
- Designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Cloud Application capabilities to include IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings for our DoW customers.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the development team on designing complex software systems.
- Acts as a high-level technical expert and addresses issues relating to systems integration and compatibility.
- Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques.
- Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other task personnel.
- Responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.
Requirements

The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer must have:Education: Bachelor's Degree in related technical field.Experience: 8+ years of related experience.Security Clearance: Minimum of an active Secret security clearance.Certification: CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II 8570 certification Technical skills:

Ability to integrate security practices directly into cloud-native development and deployment workflows.

Experience in DevSecOps utilizing, configuring and integrating tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, Gitlab, Sonatye Nexus.

Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation.

Successful candidates must have a strong understanding of DoW Cloud governance and application architectures required to implement cloud services for DoW customers. Specific focus is on user interface development for government off-the-shelf interfaces.

Expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365 management and configuration (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite).

Automate configuration, validation, and monitoring processes using a mix scripting, development and configuration, reducing manual errors and deployment times.

Strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks and libraries.

Experience in agile methodologies, especially related to release scheduling, and utilizing tools such as JIRA and confluence.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
