Job description
We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support at a manufacturing facility in Canton, NY. In this role, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and end-user computing issues while ensuring timely resolution of IT service requests. This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong technical knowledge, and participation in an on-call support rotation., * Provide onsite and remote desktop support for end users.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, hardware, printers, and peripherals.
- Administer Active Directory user accounts and permissions.
- Support VPN, Citrix, cloud applications, and remote connectivity.
- Install, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, conference room equipment, and IP phones.
- Manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
- Perform device imaging, software installations, asset management, and equipment deployments.
- Collaborate with IT teams to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and deliver excellent customer support.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Information Technology or 3-5 years of hands-on desktop support experience.
- Strong experience troubleshooting computer hardware beyond imaging and deployment.
- Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and desktop hardware support.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), A+, Network+, Server+, Cloud+, or Mobility+ certifications.
- Experience supporting Cisco VPN, Citrix, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Check Point Endpoint Security, Cisco Webex, and enterprise IT environments., If you have a passion for IT support and enjoy working in a fast-paced enterprise environment, we'd love to hear from you!
