Job description

We are a leading national consumer finance company with a 15-year legacy of stability and success. Following our recent acquisition and the appointment of a new CEO, we are entering a transformative chapter-pivoting toward a high-growth, tech-forward, and entrepreneurial future. We are seeking a SQL Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise data solutions that drive business performance across the organization. This role serves as a technical leader within the data development team, partnering with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT professionals to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure database solutions., * Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, SSIS packages, and data integrations.

  • Serve as a technical lead on development projects, assisting project teams in defining and refining technical requirements.
  • Develop project plans for new and modified database solutions, ensuring milestones are achieved and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Systems Analysts, QA teams, application developers, and business stakeholders to design and implement effective data solutions.
  • Support and maintain ETL processes, data integrations, and automated workflows to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Create and maintain APIs and support application integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and data-related issues while identifying opportunities for optimization and performance improvements.
  • Participate in change management activities, production deployments, and after-hours support as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior SQL Developers and provide technical guidance on development standards and best practices.
  • Document database designs, technical specifications, and development procedures to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including advanced experience with ETL processes and Active Batch.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of T-SQL programming, SQL Server administration best practices, database design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Integration Experience: Ability to create, support, and maintain APIs with working knowledge of C# sufficient to support integrations and collaborate with application development teams.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across technical and business functions.
  • Preferred experience with Power BI, PostgreSQL, and AI-assisted development tools that support SQL development, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Location & Work Schedule

  • Location: Remote opportunity or hybrid role based in our Chadds Ford, PA; Tempe, AZ; or Coppell, TX offices.
  • Schedule: Full-time position with flexibility to support production deployments, upgrades, and after-hours support activities as needed.
