We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT System & Infrastructure Support Specialist with a passion for delivering exceptional service within the hospitality industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across all departments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment., * Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and enterprise software solutions like Pegasystems and Oracle databases.
- Maintain system health through performance tuning, system troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring of hardware components such as RAID controllers and storage management systems.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Shell Scripting to streamline routine tasks like server backup, recovery processes, and configuration management.
- Oversee system architecture design and solution architecture development to support scalable, secure, and reliable IT services aligned with business needs.
- Manage Active Directory environments for user account provisioning, access control, and security policies; administer DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols to safeguard data integrity.
- Support software implementation projects by coordinating SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) activities using Agile methodologies; troubleshoot software issues related to applications such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git; facilitate system tuning and load balancing to optimize performance across systems.
- Ensure information security compliance by implementing best practices in cybersecurity measures including firewalls, VPNs, RESTful APIs security protocols, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular system backups using server backup solutions; perform recovery procedures as needed to minimize downtime during incidents.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, change management records, and support tickets for audit purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in system administration across Windows Server (including Windows Active Directory management), Linux/Unix environments (including shell scripting), and virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi or Azure Virtual Machines.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including RAID controllers, SAN/NAS storage management, load balancing solutions, DNS/DHCP services, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Hands-on knowledge of solution architecture design principles for enterprise applications within hospitality or similar service-oriented industries.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell; experience with automation tools like Jenkins or Git for DevOps workflows.
- Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to operating systems, software applications (Pegasystems preferred), network connectivity or security breaches efficiently.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for hybrid infrastructure deployment is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to support systems & applications support teams effectively.
- Relevant certifications in Cisco networking (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar credentials are advantageous.
