Job description

ICS Technologies is seeking a motivated, customer-focused IT Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with clients, and building a career in the managed IT services industry.

As an IT Technician, you'll provide onsite and remote technical support, install and maintain IT infrastructure, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with cybersecurity best practices for businesses throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and mobile devices
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and servers
  • Support Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Deploy and support firewalls, wireless networks, switches, and VPN connectivity
  • Perform onsite service calls and remote support for client environments
  • Install new computer systems, network equipment, and peripheral devices
  • Document work performed in the ticketing system with detailed notes
  • Participate in proactive maintenance, patch management, and system monitoring
  • Assist with cybersecurity implementations and follow security best practices
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while communicating technical information in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows operating systems
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work onsite at client locations

Preferred

  • Experience with managed service providers (MSP)
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware)
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications
