Make an impact by using your expertise to protect our country from threats., * Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise SQL Server clustered platforms and standalone databases, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability

Manage backup/restore, replication, disaster recovery, failover testing, and recovery operations for high availability database services

Monitor database capacity, performance metrics, licensing, service levels, and health; provide monthly analysis and recommendations

Perform database migrations, upgrades, lifecycle management, consolidation, and integration of new requirements into DBaaS environments

Provide database access management, permissions, and controlled elevation for application owners and administrators

Troubleshoot SQL related issues across infrastructure, application, and storage layers; deliver technical guidance to application teams

Create and maintain database documentation, configuration baselines, SOPs, and security relevant artifacts supporting accreditation and compliance

Evaluate and test new SQL Server releases, backup/recovery platforms, replication technologies, and database tooling for enterprise adoption

Apply SQL Server, OS level, and database platform security patches within required timelines using approved tools and automated deployment processes; maintain configuration and vulnerability compliance

Identify and remediate noncompliant database systems; analyze root causes, verify POA&M actions, and provide security status updates and metrics
Requirements
Database Performance
Database Systems, * EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or 10+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree
- CERTIFICATION: Meet DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, etc.)
- CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, clustering, high availability, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and DR/COOP operations
- Strong understanding of database security, STIG compliance, access control, and change management
- Proficiency with SQL, PowerShell, and enterprise monitoring/reporting tools
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues spanning databases, infrastructure, and applications
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- US citizenship required
- LOCATION: Onsite, 8 + years of related experience
