Firewall Engineer Enterprise Firewall Refresh

• We are seeking a Senior Firewall Engineer to support an enterprise Palo Alto firewall refresh initiative. This role will focus on planning and executing firewall migrations while ensuring minimal disruption to production environments.
• The ideal candidate is a Palo Alto subject matter expert with experience migrating enterprise firewalls, implementing security policies, and collaborating with network engineering teams. Strong routing and switching fundamentals are important to successfully support firewall deployments and troubleshoot connectivity., * Plan and execute enterprise Palo Alto firewall migration activities.
• Migrate firewall policies, rules, and configurations to new infrastructure.
• Validate firewall functionality and network connectivity following migration activities.
• Collaborate with network engineers to support routing, switching, and security changes.
• Troubleshoot firewall and network connectivity issues during implementation.
• Support change management and production deployment activities.

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Experience performing enterprise firewall refreshes and migrations.
• Strong understanding of firewall policies, NAT, security zones, and rule management.
• Intermediate routing and switching knowledge.
• Experience working within enterprise production environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Experience supporting large enterprise firewall environments.
• Familiarity with change-controlled production environments.

Certifications:

• Palo Alto PCNSE preferred
• CCNP Security or Enterprise preferred
• CCIE Security a plus
