We are a publicly traded, multi-state operator that files in accordance with U.S. GAAP financial statements with the SEC as a domestic filer (Forms 10-K and 10-Q), while maintaining our reporting obligations in Canada. Our consolidated group spans the states where we operate - Oregon, New Jersey, and Michigan, with Minnesota and Illinois launching in 2026 - several with active cannabis operations and some carrying minority interests., Grown Rogue is seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Data Platform Engineer This hybrid role combines responsibilities in IT support, financial analysis, light accounting work, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations, managing and analyzing data, and supporting the finance department with basic accounting tasks., Data Platform Engineering
- Design and build data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory, connecting source systems to our cloud data warehouse
- Own the data warehouse layer: design tables, views, and semantic models optimized for Power BI consumption and built for growth
- Build and maintain integrations with source systems: Xero, METRC, and SharePoint
- Connect to and query Snowflake-hosted source data, integrating it into Fabric pipelines as access becomes available
- Implement Direct Lake connectivity where applicable to reduce import refresh dependencies in Power BI
- Monitor pipeline health and data freshness; diagnose and resolve failures promptly
- Document data models, pipeline architecture, and transformation logic
Azure Infrastructure & Cost Management
- Manage and right-size Azure resources: virtual machines, managed database services, App Registrations, storage accounts, and Fabric capacity
- Monitor monthly Azure and Fabric spending; implement cost controls including reserved capacity, auto-shutdown, and resource tagging
- Maintain Azure App Registrations and service principals used by integration workflows
- Maintain data backup and recovery procedures for cloud databases and storage
- Plan and execute infrastructure changes in coordination with business needs and budget targets
- Maintain Azure tenant hygiene: naming conventions, access reviews, and subscription governance
Cybersecurity
- Secure the Azure environment through identity and access controls: MFA, conditional access, and privileged identity management across Azure and EntraID
- Conduct periodic access reviews for Azure resources, database users, and service principals
- Manage secrets rotation for service accounts and automated integration credentials, using Azure Key Vault
- Monitor Azure security alerts and remediate misconfigurations; the MSP owns email and endpoint and software security
Requirements
Required
- 3+ years in a data engineering or data platform role
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric: Lakehouses, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and/or Direct Lake semantic models
- Strong SQL skills: data modeling, views, stored procedures, multi-table joins, and performance tuning
- Experience designing data warehouse layers for Power BI consumption
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure: resource management, cost monitoring, and identity and access security
- Ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into data and infrastructure designs
- Comfort with high ownership in a lean, fast-moving environment
Preferred
- Experience connecting Fabric or ADF pipelines to cloud-hosted data sources such as Snowflake
- Familiarity with Power BI semantic model development (DAX, relationships, calculation groups)
- Python scripting for API integration and data processing
- Familiarity with cannabis compliance systems (METRC or BioTrack)
- Experience with Azure cost management and capacity planning: reserved capacity, Fabric capacity sizing, and resource tagging
- ·Experience securing Azure environments: conditional access, privileged identity management, and Key Vault
- Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF or CIS Controls

- This job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time.
- Approximately 90% of this position's duties require use of a computer.
